Guided Meditation Doomjazz returns with another instrumental psychedelic journey into consciousness. This recording is a series of first takes written in two days and recorded in an afternoon. We welcomed Greg Perlman to Austin from his usual dwellings in Boston, where he attends Berkeley College of Music. For just a few days we synergized our energies into the GMDJ space with J Blaise Gans on bass VI and Mathew Doeckel on drums. Also joining the collective was photographer Genine Packert Short to capture the moments and inspire a pseudo live performance. Imperfections may show here and there, but the overall effect is a blustery storm of riffs followed by improvised dreamlike soundscapes. Join us and get lost in the moment. Digital Download includes 13 photos from the recording process.
